What do you do to get “unstuck?”

Blake: When I am feeling stuck, I try to walk away from the piece I am working on. I go on a walk with my dog; the fresh air and being away from whatever I am working on helps clear my head.

What do you geek out about?

Blake: Definitely dogs, I love dogs of all shapes and sizes. One day I hope to be able to pet every type of dog.

I make what I do in order to spread joy. I also want to create soft experiences and opportunities to express and process emotions.

What word do you overuse?

Blake: My go to catchphrase is “Cool Kid.”

What is your favorite trick for “keeping it all together?”

Blake: I put EVERYTHING in my calendar. Staying hyper-organized is super helpful for getting things done as well as relieving stress since I know exactly what I need to do to stay on track. Memories from where I’ve been, and acts as another creative outlet.

Why do you do what you do?

Blake: The goal of my work is to spread happiness and warm feelings. I make what I do in order to spread joy. I also want to create soft experiences and opportunities to express and process emotions.
