Lydia Mercer is an illustrator and designer whose work explores the symbolic, magical, and personal. Through graphic shapes, bold colors, and digital techniques, she highlights moments of intimacy, connection and wonder. This fascination for our emotional relationship to the world is what continues to drive her love for visual storytelling. Originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico, she currently lives in Portland, Oregon. Several pieces of Lydia’s work have been recognized by the Society of Illustrators in their annual Student Competitions. When she’s not creating, which is rarely, she can be found playing the kalimba with her kitty, Mo.
